Ashok Soota Resigns from MindTree Indian IT industry's leadership change story continues with four announcement in less than two weeks
Ashok Soota, the co-founder of MindTree has resigned as the executive chairman of the company.
"I and have requested for my release by 31st March 2011 as an employee and also as Executive Chairman / Member of the Board," he has said in a release issued from his name, and not the company.
In the release addressed to the media by him in first person, he has mentioned that the decision to resign is for personal reasons. "It is something I have thought about for a few months and arrived at a well-considered conclusion. I will finalize and announce my plans for a new business venture, shortly after my departure from MindTree," he says in the release.
Announcement of Soota's departure from MindTree comes close on the heels of the announcement of departure of Suresh Vaswani and Girish Paranjpe from Wipro. Ashok Soota was running Wipro before he resigned to co-found MindTree.
In what could be called a season of change, Accenture India, Capgemini India, Wipro and Mindtree have all announced changes at the top level in a span of ten days.
