The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the dates for the Indian Forest Service Examination, 2011 to be held on 9^th July, 2011. The examination will be held at various centres across the country.

Application Procedure

Students can apply online from the official site of UPSC. All online applications will be accepted till April 18, 2011 till 11.59 p.m, after which the link will be disabled. Students from remote areas can get details on the application form from Employment News/ Rozgar Samachar dated March 19, 2011 and also get it Appendix-III of the Notice published in the newspapers mentioned above throughout the country. They can also acquire the New Common Application Form (Form-E) devised by the Commission for its examination, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices across the country.

The date for receiving offline applications is 25 April, 2011 by post/ speed post. No application will be received by hand or by courier.

Note - Offline applications received from candidates residing in normal areas/ abroad, will be rejected by the Commission. The option of offline application is available only to candidates residing in specified remote areas.

If the students face any difficulty in obtaining application forms from the designated post offices, they can  contact the concerned Post Master or UPSC's "Forms Supply Monitoring Cell" over telephone.
