Country.
BANGALORE — Dec. 13, 2005 — Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CDNS)
today announced the launch of an Electronic-Design-Automation (EDA) contest
aimed at fostering the spirit of inventiveness and realization of ideas among
engineering students in India and the SAARC region. Undergraduate and graduate
students (B. Tech and M. Tech) from institutions that use predominantly Cadence
EDA technologies are invited to participate.
So if you are a designer looking to express yourself by competing with other
great artists, the place you are looking for exists and its name is Cadence
Design Contest !!!

Who can participate?
B.Tech and M.Tech students from Institutes in India & SAARC region using
predominantly Cadence technologies.
Selection Criterion
Panel consisting of eminent experts from Academia, Industry and Cadence will
adjudge the best Analog Mixed Signal/ Digital design project
Awards & Recognitions
Winning team
- Certificate of Acknowledgement from Cadence
- Cash award of Rs.50,000 per student subject to maximum of Rs.1.5 lacs and
Rs.50,000 for the Project Guide
- Chance to present at CDNLive!
- Fellowship for VLSI conference
Runners Up Team will get a Certificate of Acknowledgement from Cadence.
Rules and Regulations


- Project should be completed using predominantly Cadence technologies
- Each project team should have between 2-5 students and may have a Faculty
as Project Guide
- Panel consisting of eminent experts from Academia, Industry and Cadence
will adjudge the best Analog Mixed Signal/ Digital design project based on
following key parameters
- Inventiveness
- Complexity and feasibility of the project
- Methodology adopted
- Breadth of design aspects covered
- Efficient tool usage
- Project presentation & demonstration
- Timelines mentioned are sacrosanct and will not be revised
- Decision of Expert Panel will be final
