CodeFest'10- Online Coding Festival :- The Department of Computer Engineering, IT-BHU - January 25th to March -31st, 2010

CodeFest is an Online Coding Festival of Department of Computer Engineering, IT-BHU which had started on 25th January and will last till 31st March, 2010. It includes exciting competitions on Application Development, Algorithms, Programming & Logic and Mathematics and is open for participation from students & professionals all over the globe.

There are prizes worth more than 260,000 INR (approx $5600) in this mega event.

Till now there have been about 1800 registrations on the website from more than 540 different institutions round the globe which includes more than 80 professional participants. Within just 9 weeks of website launch, it has registered more than 130,000 hits in 85 countries and 800 cities.

Event Details

RAD : British Telecom and TCS sponsored, application development competition, with prizes worth more than 100,000 INR. Problem Statement has been released. Submissions & Registrations close on Mar 15.

CodeWarrior :Test of overall aptitude and problem solving skills. Its a team event with maximum of 2 members. So form your team now and test your grey cells on some baffling puzzles, buggy codes & bewildering algorithms. Round One is over. Round 2 submissions till 14th Mar. Prizes worth more than 20,000 INR to be won.

MathMania : An event with Challenging Mathematical Problems as in Project Euler, comprising of 10 questions and time duration of 6 hours. Scheduled on 13th Mar. Prizes worth more than 20,000 INR.

Manthan : An algorithm intensive programming competition on the lines of ACM-ICPC, with 8-10 problems and time duration of 5 hours. Scheduled on 14th Mar. Prizes worth more than 40,000 INR.

Perplexed! : Hughes Systique sponsored C obscure Programming Competition. Simple Programming Problems with constraints on the use of header files and tokens like semicolon, keywords (for, if, switch, etc). Event shall comprise of 6 – 8 Problems to be solved in time duration of 12 Hours. Scheduled on 21st Mar. Prizes worth more than 25,000 INR.

GumboRumble : Problem Statements of Adobe sponsored application development event with prizes worth more than 50,000 INR have been released. Adobe certificates will be provided to all valid entries. Submissions are now closed.
