Our mechanical dept. is conducting a national level tech fest titled 'mechanica' on t 17 and 18, March '08 . which will be attended by several students from across the country.

MECHANICA is a biennial technical event of the Mechanical Engineering Department, C.B.I.T. The first version of it was held in January 2002. This edition of MECHANICA saw some of the best brains of India fight for the top honors in various competitions like the mechanical software design contest, reverse engineering contest, junkyard wars. The participating colleges included N.I.T Warangal, IIIT, Anna University, S.B.I.T Chennai etc to name a few. About 1,000 students of various colleges participated in the event.

As a part of the MECHANICA’04 some of the prominent personalities like South India Chief - T.C.S, Vice President - Rane Engine Valves shared their views on emerging technologies and advancements during the student-industry interaction.

Latest edition of MECHANICA was conducted in March 2006. This edition has thrown light on the emerging Research and Development Fields like CFD.

MECHANICA’08 is all set to focus on VALUE ENGINEERING, in the wake of concern for environment. It will be conducted on the lines with interesting events keeping in mind the capability of students to expand the technical imagination.
