every company looks for C and C++ basics. even if its for core companies they expect you to know basics of computer languages.so,its better to brush-up basics of Software languages before any interview.

As far as technical capabilities are concerned, its more a long-term preparation. you can go through the text books of concerned subjects once again and know the subjects better.

Dont mug-up,this is not your semester exams. Concentrate more on concepts than data, Employees prefer good thinkers to RAMs. A wide knowledge in all fields concerned with Computer science is a very big advantage.

Data structures and algorithms,Computer Networks,Operating systems,DBMS are very important areas in Computer Science. Knowledge in these areas will be big advantage, even if your area of interest/specilization doesn't happen to be one of these subjects.

For IT job seekers the technical interviews will be most confined to C, C++ or OOPS concepts. The rest of the interview would be based on the projects you have done and your area of interests. If you are smart enough you should be able to bring the interviewers attention towards what your area of interest is and confine the questions to the same.
