Age : 18- 23 years as on 26th feb 2011 for HC(RO)/ HC(Fitter)
18- 25 years as on 26th feb 2011 for ASI(RM)
Pay Scale : Rs 5,200-20,200/-
Application Should be accompanied by a crossed bank draft/Indian postal order for Rs 50/-only for OBC candidates as the examination fee in favour of the Inspector General or DIG/Comdt to whom the application is addressed payable at respective SBI/Post office However the SC/ST and Departmental Candidates are not required to submit examination fee .
Attested photo copies educational qualifications and Date of Birth Three recent passport size photographs, duly attested by a gazetted officer one each to be pasted on the application form and admission card and third one to be attached with application form .The envelope containing application must be superscripted in bold letters as under "Application for the post of (HC(RO)HC(Fitter)ASI(RM)" Application along with fee will be sent to any of the following recruitment centres. Application should reach to the addressee on or before 26 Feb 2011

Till 1965 India ’s borders with Pakistan were manned by the State Armed Police Battallion. Pakistan attacked Sardar Post, Chhar Bet and Beria Bet on 9 April, 1965 in Kutch . This exposed the inadequacy of the State Armed Police to cope with armed aggression due to which the Government of India felt the need for a specialized centrally controlled Border Security Force, which would be armed and trained to man the International Border with Pakistan .
