According to the study, 'Emerging Future Jobs' conducted by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), manufacturing sector will generate about 280 lac new jobs by 2015. And the total new jobs generated across all sectors will be around 870 lacks. In the manufacturing sectors, the main contributors of emplyment generation will be textiles, food and beverages, transport equipment, metals, leather and machinery.
The trade sector is expected to generate around 240 lack new jobs while as constructions is expected to generate 150 lac new jobs. In the IT/ITES sector, the predicted new jobs generation is around 30 lac by 2015.
