According to top official of MindTree Ltd, they are expecting to hire around 3,500 people in the financial year 2011. The company has already added 1,324 employees on a gross basis in April-June, taking its total headcount to 9,012.
According to MindTree CEO Krishnakumar Natarajan, "Now we are starting to see fairly strong traction across all our businesses, like product engineering, IT services as well as infrastructure management and independent testing, and knowledge services...the additions will be across all these businesses."
The company sources say that attrition on a trailing 12-month basis was at 17.8 per cent, compared with 14.1 per cent as on the end of March 31. Natarajan added, "We believe that this is a temporary phenomenon, because of massive momentum and we expect this to be in control, and will reduce as the year progresses."
