Over 20,000 employees hired by top 3 IT companies in the last Quarter

Infosys, TCS and Wipro are the top three IT companies in India. With improving condition of the economy in general and IT sector in particular, these companies put together have hired over 20,014 employees in the January-March quarter.

 

According to predictions of various HR experts, the hiring plans of most of the companies, especially those in IT and ITES sector will continue this whole year. companies in the IT & ITes sector would hire 1,50,000 professionals in the fiscal year 2011.

 

According to sources fro Infosys, the company hired about 9,313 emplyoyees in the last quarter. Although, the company reported some attrition during the period, the net addition of new employees was by 3,914.

 

Tata Consultancy Services took on board a net 10,775 employees in the last quarter of 2009-10 fiscal. TCS' total employee strength has soared to 1,60,429 at the end of the last fiscal.

 

Wipro, another IT giant made net additions of 5,325 employees in the Q4 FY10, taking its total strength to 1,08,071. This year has proved to be a great year for job seekers in India.
