Atlas Copco (India) Ltd. is a public limited company and is a part of Swedish multinational Atlas Copco AB. The Company was incorporated in the year 1960 as a private limited company. It became a public limited company in the year 1972 and was renamed as Atlas Copco (India) Ltd.
In the year 2000, Chicago Pneumatic (India) Ltd., another Atlas Copco Group Company, was merged with Atlas Copco (India) Ltd. The Atlas Copco Group currently holds 83.77% of the share capital and the rest is held by Indian public.
