South Eastern Railway invites applications for the following posts

Qualification: 10th Pass or ITI or equivalent.
Note: Candidates appearing at and/or awaiting results of the final examinations of 10th /ITI or equivalent on the date of application are not eligible to apply.
Age Limit: 18-33 years
Examination Fee: Rs.40 (forty only) payable in a form of crossed Demand Draft from State Bank of India or from any other Nationalized Bank or Crossed Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of FA&CAO, South Eastern Railway. Candidates should write their name and address at the back of the Indian Postal Order/Demand Draft.
Note: The following categories are exempt from payment of examination fee:
(i) Candidates belonging to SC/ST communities
(ii) Women candidates
(iii) Candidates belonging to minority communities
(iv) Candidates belonging to backward classes having annual family income of less than Rs.4.5 Lakhs
(v) Persons with Disabilities
(vi) Economically Backward Class
Recruitment Procedure: The recruitment procedure consists of Physical Efficiency Test (PET) followed by Written Examination and Medical Examination.
The filled in application along with the required documents should be addressed to the Dy.Chief Personnel Officer (Recruitment), Railway Recruitment Cell, South Eastern Railway, Bungalow No-12A, 11, Garden Reach Road, Kolkata-7000043. On the envelop containing the application it should be clearly written “Application for Recruitment to the posts in Pay Band-I+ Grade Pay Rs.1800, Employment Notice No.SER/RRC/2/2010 . Last date is on 14th February 2011.
South Eastern Railway has achieved a record of 125.91 MT by registering a growth of 6.24% and Rs. 7084.55 crores has been generated from freight traffic registering a growth of 3.31% as compared to previous year despite economic recession during the financial year 2009-10.
