| (i) | Mate Fitter General Mechanic | Must have passed ITI examination in Pump Operator-cum-Mechanic Trade from a recognized University/Institute or equivalent course from the Institute recognized by National College for Vocational Training (NCVT). |

Age limit : 18 to 27 Years.
Scale of Pay : Draftsman - Rs.9300-34800/- & Mate (Various Trades) is Rs.5200-20200/-
Mode of Selection & Examination Schedule: All eligible candidates will have to appear for a written test. As per merit in the written test, subject to a maximum of five times the number of vacancy in each category, candidates will be called for interview and Practical Test as applicable.
Probation : The persons selected for appointment will be on probation for a period of two years, which may further be extended at the discretion of appointing authority.

(b) Admit Card for Written Test. The admit card for written test shall be submitted in duplicate as per format duly affixed with self attested pass port size photograph in the space provided for and by duly filling Ser No 1 to 3, along with the application form. Mere submission of admit card does not imply or convey any assurance that the candidate will be called for the written test or personal interview. (c) Admit Card for Practical Test/Interview. Military Engineer Services (MES) is one of the largest Government construction agency in India and provides works cover to Army, Navy and Air Force. It has a large number of units and sub units spread across the entire country. Engineer-in-Chief is the head of MES and is assisted by six Command Chief Engineers who are co-located and under the operational Army Commands, Additional Director Generals at Pune and Secunderabad and 31 Zonal Chief Engineers. Besides works of the Armed Forces, MES also undertake civil works of Defence Research and Development Organization, Coast Guard, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghathan, and other government organizations.
