Radar Guns and Laser radar Guns This is the age of speed. We can see people zipping down the highways at unimaginable speed. Long before the invention of radar guns in 1970's and laser speed guns in 1990's the police had a very tedious job in detecting those vehicles which where driven at over speed. The radar gun emits microwaves and works on the principle of radar where as the laser gun emits infrared rays and gives more accurate readings than the radar gun.
