9th All India Entrance Examination for Admission to Under Graduate
Programme and
Award of National Talent Scholarship in Agriculture and Allied
Subjects other than Veterinary
Science for the Academic Session 2004-05(AIEEA-2004).
Indian Council of Agricultural Research , New Delhi will conduct 9th
All India Entrance Examination for filling up 15% of the total
number os seats in State Agricultural Universities, Central
Agricultural University, Impal (Manipur), and 100% of the seats in
National Diary Research Institute, Karnal(Haryana) for Bachelor's
Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries Science, Forestry,
Home Science, Sericulture, Agricultural engineering, Dairy
Technology, Food Science & Technology and Agriculture Marketing
banking & Co-Operation.
Date and Time of the Examination : 23 rd May, 2004 ( Sunday ) from
10.00 A.M. to 12.30 P.M.
Venue : Different Examination Centres in the country as stated in
the Information Bulletin.
National Talent Scholarship: The National Talent Scholarship
@Rs.800/- per month shall be awarded to first 230 meritorious
candidates in this Examination in each of the ten subjects provided
a candidate takes admission in any Institution not falling in his
/her own home state.
Scheme of Examination : There will be one question paper consisting
of objective type questions in Physics, Chemistry and Biology /
Agriculture for STREAM -A and Physics, Chemistry and mathematics for
STREAM- B as per eligibility and choice of the subjects as defined
in Information Bulletin. The question paper will be bilingual i.e.
ENGLISH and HINDI.
Reservation of Seats There would be reseervation of seats to the
extent 15% for Scheduled Caste, 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe and 3% for
Physically Handicapped candidates in all subjects.
EligibilityThe Candidate must be atleast 17 years of age but not
more than 23 years on or before 31.12.2004. No relaxation of age
will be allowed to candidate of any category. He/She should be an
India National. He /She must have passed and obtained not less than
60% marks (for General Category) and 50% marks ( for SC/ST/PH
category ) of the total marks in PCB/PCM/PCA combinations in 10 +2
examination. He/She must also have passed in English at 10+2 stage.
Any candidate having compartment/Supplementary in any subject in the
qualifying examinations i.e.10+2 is not eligible for Admission.
Candidates shloud have passed Physics, Chemistry and Agriculture/
Biology / Mathematics as full subjects separately at 10+2 level. One
who is appearing for 10+2 examination in the year 2004 can also
apply subject to producing 10+2 passing certificate on the date of
Counseling.
Information Bulletins with Application Forms will be available for
sale from 26 February, 2004 and can be obtained against Cash payment
of Rs.400/- +Rs.10/= sale charges for general Category and Rs.200/-
+10 (sale charge) for S.C. S.T. and P.H. category from the Syndicate
Bank branches - Syndicate bank, K.A.B.Extension Counter, Pusa, New
Delhi - 110 012 and Syndicate Bank, F-40, Connaught Place, New Delhi
- 110 001 and office of the Registrars of state Agricultural

Impal (Manipur). The Bank, Agricultural Universities and ICAR
Institutes will not send the information Bulletin and forms by post
and thus,no requests should be made to them in this regard. The last
date for sle of application form through these Counters on Cash is
up to 30 March , 2004
By Post:Information Bulletins with Application Forms can also be
obtained by post up to March 25, 2004 by sending a written request
to " The Controller of Examination ( Education Division) Room
No.226, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Krishi Anusandhan
Bhavan-II, Pusa, New Delhi 110 012". For this, a demand draft
of Rs.450/- ( Rs.400/- as form fee + Rs.50/- towards postal and
handling charges) for General Category and Rs.250/- (Rs.200/- as
form fee + Rs.50/- towards postal and handling charges) for S.C.
/S.T./P.H. category drawn in favour of " Deputy Director
General (Education),ICAR" payable at New Delhi with a self
addresses envelop (size 12" X 10") without postage should
be sent. The candidate should write his/her name and address on the
back side of the Demand Draft. No request for supply of Information
Bulletin by post will be entertained after 25 March, 2004.
The Information Bulletin and Application Forms can also be obtained
personally up to 4.00 P.M. on March 30, 2004 (Except holidays) by
depositing demand draft without postage and handiling charges from
the Office of the Controller of Examination, Education Division,
ICAR, Room No,226 KAB-II, Pusa, New Delhi.
The last date for the receipt of application forms inthe office of
the Office of the Controller of Examination, Education Division,
ICAR, Room No,226 KAB-II, Pusa, New Delhi - 110 012. is 05
April,2004. However, for the candidates belonging to remote areas
viz. Mizoram,Assam,Meghalaya,Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland,
Tripura, Sikkim,Ladakh Division of J&K state, Lahaul & Spiti
District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal
Pradesh, Andaman & Nocabar Island and Lakshadweep the last date
of receipt of application form is 20 April, 2004. Application Forms
received after the last date will be rejected. Education division
shall not be responsible for non-receipt of application within the
time schedule due to postal delay or any other reason for delay. All
disputes relating to the conduct of this examination or any matter
connected with this advertisement shall be dealt in the jurisdiction
of Delhi Court only.
