Iranian Government Scholarship - 2004
The Government of Iran offered 55 Scholarships for Indian nationals
for studies at an Iranian University or any institution of higher
education in Iran. The Scholarships would be available for studies
in the subject fields of Persian Language & Literature for
Graduation, Post-Graduation and Ph.D.level.
DURATION: 4 years for Graduation : 2 years for
Post-Graduation and 3 years for Ph.D.
AGE : Below 25 years for Graduation ; 30 yearrs for
Post-Graduation and 35 years for Ph.D as on 30.06.2004
QUALIFICATION : The candidate should have passed 12th
Standard with minimum 55% marks for Graduation (Preference will be
given to those who have Persian Language as one of the subject at
XIIth level or having good knowledge of Persian Language) . Should
have Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with minimum 55% marks with
Persian Language as one of the subject for Post graduate studies.
He/She should have Post-graduate Degree in Persian language with
minimum 55% marks for Ph.D.
AMOUNT OF SCHOLARSHIP : No stipend will be paid by the
Government Of Iran. However, following facilities will be provided.
* One time return air ticket
* free tution fee
* free accommodation (Hostel)
* free insurance cover and
* subsidized food available in the university mess halls.
PASSAGE COST : Only one time International return Airfare would be
paid by the Government of Iran.
Application on plain paper (in prescribed format) alongwith
photocopies of educational certificates (including proof of age) and
other documents, with a copy of recent passport size photograph
pasted on the application, should reach " The Section
Officer , ES.# Section, Department of Secondary & Higher
Education , A, 1/W.3 Curzon Road Barracks, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New
Delhi - 110 001" by 30.06.2004. Applications received after
30.06.2004 will not be entertained. Applications can also be
submitted online at the Department website www.education.nic.in by
30.06.2004. In case of online appliations, hard copy of the
applications in the prescribed format alongwith required documents
should be submitted by 9.07.2004 otherwise online appliations will
not be entertained.
