Scholarships for pursuing Post Graduate Studies (M.A./MS.c.) In Mathematics   

 


The National Board for Higher Mathematics(NBHM) invites appliations for the grant of Scholarships to students for pursuing studies for M.A./M.Sc., in Mathematics.

Eligibility : Applicants should be motivated students with a good academic record(Ist calss or equivalent grade) at +2 level as well as B.Sc., Students with a B.Sc., degree or awaiting results of the final B.Sc., examination as well as those studying in the final year and are to write their final examination before September 1, 2004 can apply. However, the applicants must fulfil the qualifications prescribed above in the previous examinations.
Applicants should be below the age of 22 years as on January1, 2004. Exceptional cases, however, may be considered on merit

The Scholarship : Successful candidates will be eligible for a Scholarship of Rs.1200/- per month during the two year of their M.A./M.Sc., course.

Selected students are expected to enroll themselves in an appropriate institution for an M.A./M.Sc., degree in Mathematics. The Scholarships will be paid through the institution which they join. TheScholarships are sanctioned for one year at a time and are renewable at the end of the year, subject to satisfactory progress.
