NBRC is premier institute whose objective is to pursue research in
frontier areas of neuroscience and to understand brain function in
health and disesase. Research areas include Development
Neuroscience, Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience, Systems and
Cognitive Neuroscience , Computational and Theoretical Neuroscience,

Admission to the following are open.
Ph.D. in NEUROSCIENCE
Eligibility : Masters degree in any branch of science related
to the general area of Neurosciences / Brain Research with
consistent good academic record. Candidates from diverse backgrounds
that include, but not limited to , varioous disciplines of
Biological Sciences, Physical , Mathematical, Computer Sciences
& Psychology will be considered or M.B.B.S. / B.E. / B.Tech /
M.E. / M.Tech / M.Pharma or equivalent with consistent good academic
record.
Candidates who are awaiting results of the final year examinations
are eligible to apply
Candidates who have already qualified CSIR / UGC/ GATE/ ICMR
examinations are encouraged to apply.
M.Sc., in NEUROSCIENCE( 10 Seats )
Eligibility: Bachelor's degree in any branch of science or in
any subject related to the general area of Neuroscience including
Psychology or M.B.B.S. / B.E. / B.Yech. degree with consistent good
academic record.
Ph.D course work will be waived for NBRC M.Sc., (Neuroscience)
graduates who join the Ph.D Programme.
POST DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS
Eligibility: A Ph.D degree in any branch of science or in any
subject related to the general area of Neuroscience including
Psychology.
Application forms and Information Brochure are available with the Registrar
and can be collected in person or obtained through post by sending a
demand draft of Rs.50/- in favour of Director, NBRC, Payable at
Manesar/Gurgaon (non-refundable).Application forms can be downloaded
from the NBRC website(www.nbrc.ac.in). Completed application forms
along with the photocopies of all qualification / experience
certificates, two recent signed passport size photographs (one
affixed ) and Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- in favour of Director, NBRC
payable at Manesar ( non-refundable) may be forwarded to the Registrar,
National Brain Research Centre , NH - 8, Manesar, 122050 latest by
30th March, 2005
Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for an interview.
Train fare for second class sleeper from the nearest railway station
will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview on
production of tickets. Selection of shortlisted candidates will be
based on performance in the interview. Decision of the screening /
selection committee will be final and no correspondence will be
entertained.
Scholarship : Selected candidates will be eligible for
scholarships
