Fellowship Scheme (RGNFS) for SC/ST candidates sponsored by the
Ministry of Social Justice & Empoerment and Ministry of Tribal
Affairs Govt of India
The University Grants Commission invites applications for the award
of fellowship for the year 2005-06 under the above scheme for SC/ST
candidates.
The Scheme has been initiated keeping in view the social background
of the candidates for the deprived section of the society and to
provide them opportunity to undertake advanced studies and research
in Science, Engg & Technology, Humanities and Social Sciences in
Indian Universities & Colleges.
The objective of this awards is to provide fellowships in the form
of financial assistance to students belonging to SC/ST to pursue
higher studies leading to M.Phil and Ph,.D in Science , Engg &
Technology, Humanities and Social Sciences.
The candidates should have a Post Graduate Degree in the concerned
subject . He / She should preferably be registered for M.Phil or
Ph.D in any University / Institution in India.
