Scholarships To Young Artistes For The Year 2005-2006
The Department of Culture invites applications from Indian
Nationals for award of Scholarships TO Young Artistes For The
Year 2005-2006
1. Under this Scheme, a total of 400 Scholarships are awarded each
year to Young Artistes in Different cultural fields in (i) Indian
Classical Music (ii) Indian Classical Dance (iii) Theatre (iv)
Visual Arts and (v) Folk, Traditional and Indigenous Arts.
2. The selected awardees will be required to undergo advanced
training on a full-time basis for two years under a reputed
Guru/Institute within one month of the award of scholarship.
3. As the scholarships are awarded for advanced training, the
candidate should have undergone a minimum of 5 years training with
their Gurus/Institutes. The Certificates to this effects in Part II
of the Performa duly signed by the present Guru/Institute should be
submitted alongwith the application.
4. The Scholarship carries a value of Rs.2000/- per month and is
tenable for a period of two years which is not extendable. Artistes
in the age group of 18-25 (eighteen to twenty five) years as on
01.04.2005 are eligible to apply.

30th June 2005 . PLEASE INDICATE IN BLOCK LETTERS ON TOP OF THE
ENVELOPE-APPLICATION FOR SCHOLARSHIPS TO YOUNG ARTISTES.
