When you get a job, try to spare 10 minutes to compose a mail in
detail with the entire procedure with which you got selected. Write
all the details you know. The mail ID (or WebSite) where you applied
for the job, company profile, Written Test pattern, Sample Questions,
Interview Pattern etc.
That will help lot of other people taking
the test in future. They will remember your help for life long.

Please note that this is not intended for any commercial purposes and
I am running this group with lot of struggle just to help you.
Initially, I established the group only for my friends and then opened
it for all in order to extend my help to everyone. So, any kind of
mischievious use of group will lead to the closing of group. I don't
mind doing so.
Everything in this group goes according to my wish only, as I cannot
run the group according to 50,000 different opinions. So, enquiries
are NOT permitted on that. If you don't like my
procedures, you can always unsubscribe.

Remember that I am NOT a HR of any company. I am also
some individual like you. I established the group just to help you. I
am devoting lot of my personal time (around 2 hours per day) and money
(Rs.2500/- per month) to run this group, even though I am having a
good Job.
Daily, I need to approve around 300 subscriptions, read around 250
messages, check which messages are genuine, edit them, approve them,
delete unnecessary messages etc. I am doing this despite of my busy
schedule. So, please understand and behave with sense !
ALL RESUMES AND ENQUIRIES SENT TO MY MAIL ID
WILL BE DELETED STRAIGHT-AWAY.
I will not be able to reply to any of your
personal mails. I will NOT be having time to check them.
Also I will not be having any info about various companies,
recruitment procedures, previous papers etc. Whatever info I have, I
send it to group only. So, do NOT send any individual
mails, as it is inconvenient for me. You won't get any reply from me.
VERIFY THE
AUTHENTICITY OF INFORMATION BEFORE SENDING TO GROUP
Whenever you are providing a recruitment info,
PLEASE verify whether he/she (whose mail id is mentioned) is a HR
and/or willing to receive lot of resumes. Then only send the message
to group. It's solely your responsibility to check the authenticity of
message, as it's not possible for me to check the authenticity of 300
messages daily.
Myself or
Group won't be responsible if you send any wrong info to group. You
alone will be the responsible for any damages caused by the wrong
information sent by you. Bear in mind that you can be prosecuted (by
particular company or person to whom you caused damage) in court for
sending unauthentic information and causing inconvenience to any
company. So, I advise you to be very very careful when sending any
information or recruitments to group.
Remember that each mail you send to group reaches 50,000 people and it
wastes the time and money of all of them, if you give wrong info. So,
instead of those many people checking for the authenticity of info,
you can check it before sending. Everyone appreciates your help.
B'Cos, if I apporve your mail to group, that person might get around
10000 resumes and it may cause so much of inconvenience to him/her.
So, please verify with him and if he is
willing to receive resumes, then only send the mail to our group id (Jobbss@yahoogroups.com)
clearly mentioning at the top of the mail that you verified
the authenticity.
Also think before giving a phone number of a person, as he might get
more than 1000 calls daily. So, test whether the phone number is
correct or not. Also verify with him that whether he is willing to
receive those many phone calls. Then only give phone number to group.
I appreciate your efforts in this, as it is impossible for me to check
the authenticity of 300 mails daily...
The subject line should be clear enough to
indicate most of the details about requirement:

The subject line of all mails with fresher recruitments MUST be
prefixed with "(freshers)".
For eg,
(freshers) TCS : Walk-in in Bangalore : on 27 th
Aug 2005

Experienced requirements should be mentioned
with subject line prefixed with "(experienced)".
If possible mention the minimum years of required experience, Company
Name, Skill Sets, Company Location etc.
For eg,
(3+ years experience) MindTree, B'Lore : Java,

(2+ years experience) TCS : MainFrames : Walk-in : Chennai: On 8 th
July 2005

When you are sending a paper or paper pattern of a company to the
group, prefix the subject line with "(PAPER)"
or "(PATTERN)"
For eg,
(PAPER) WIPRO Paper held at REC, Warangal on 29
th June 2005
(PATTERN) TATAELXSI, Bangalore : Held on 12 th Aug 2005
Also clearly give the Date, Time and Place
where the paper is conducted. Mention whether it's for freshers or for
experienced.
Also mention the technology in which you attempted the test (if it is
for experienced).
If possible, send the paper as Text File so that it will be easy for
me to archive.

What mails
are NOT allowed in group ?
|
Remember that all
memberships and mails MUST be approved by me. No mail goes to group
without my approval.
The group has now reached the strength of 30,000 people. Daily we get
around 300 messages sent by group members and please note that I can
approve only 30 or 40 messages out of them. Remaining messages will be
deleted or rejected. I read each and every message and delete all the
irrelavant messages. Please note that I don't have any personal
rivalry with anyone for rejecting or deleting the messages. You should
understand that it is NOT possible to approve each and every message,
even though you might think it is important for you.
Think before sending a mail to group whether it is really necessary or
not ! Remember that each mail you send reaches 30,000 group members.
So, do NOT send any unnecessary mails.
- Mails without any SUBJECT
LINE will be deleted straightaway.
- FAKE
mails, BLANK mails are not allowed in the group.
- Any RESUMES sent
to group will be deleted and the member will be banned from the
group. (He won't receive any further mails)
- VIRUS
Messages will be deleted straightaway.
- FORWARD
messages like "Help needed for Divya Singh, Siemens" etc
will be deleted. NO chain mails will be approved to group.
- Mails with straight
enquiries like "Send me Mechanical
Jobs", "Send me jobs in Delhi/Noida","Tell me
where this place is in B'Lore" etc will be deleted (unless I
strongly feel it's very important and benefits most of the
people.) If everyone sends a mail to group about the type of jobs
he want, I need to approve thousands of mails daily. That is
clearly NOT possible.
- No technical discussions are
allowed in the group. This group is not for clarifying your
technical doubts.
- Enquiries related to final year
projects are NOT allowed in the group. This group is for job
seekers, not for project seekers.
Even if you send such mails, I am not going
to approve and also remove your name from group.
Have the sense that each mail you send reaches 50000 group members.
So, don't send unnecessary mails like saying "hi",
"hello" etc.
EACH MAIL MUST HAVE AN APPROPRIATE
SUBJECT. Otherwise they will simply be deleted by me.
I am not going to allow any kind of SMART
JOBS, INTERNET TYPING JOB MAILS, FUTURE
CARE mails etc, asking people to pay some money. So, no use
in sending them. Your mail ID will be BANNED, if you do so.
As you might have observed, no such mails appeared till now in the
group. And I have banned those mail IDs who tried sending such mails.

Can I send a
'Query' mail asking for previous papers of a company ?

All 'Query' mails must start with "(QUERY)".
When asking for a company previous papers or interview pattern,
remember the following:
Most of the papers are already sent to group long back. So, before
asking for them, check the group messages at group website and also at
the "files" section of group website.(http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Jobbss)
You can view all previous messages at Group WebSite (However
attachments won't appear there)
For eg, if you want 'Oracle' papers, search the messages with the Key
Word 'Oracle'. You will get most of the info.
If you don't get any info, then only post the message to group.
But, when asking for papers, you MUST
mention how you applied for that. You have to give the corresponding
Mail Id, WebSite, Complete Address etc. Give whatever details you know
about that company. And clearly mention the LOCATION of company.
Do NOT write something like "I applied at their
Website", "I applied at their office in Bangalore" etc.
You must mention that WebSite URL or the complete office address, even
if everyone knows it.
Otherwise, your query mail won't be approved
however urgent it may be for you.
If it is for a CAMPUS placement, you MUST
mention the College Name, Location, Date of Test/Interview and Your
Branch of Study, and other details you know about company.
That will help other people. Without these details, the enquiry mails
won't get approved. So, no use in sending them. Unless the info you
give is complete, I cannot approve any message.
If the Subject line is not clear enough, message will be deleted.
For eg, you should write clearly as following:
(Query) TCS papers needed for experienced
category
(Query) ORACLE papers needed for fresher walk-in
(Query) SYNTEL papers needed for Campus interview
:
:
etc
Above all, even if you mention all details, your message may NOT
get approved. B'Cos I get around 300 messages daily and I can approve
only 30 or 40 mails out of them.
'Query' mails are of LEAST importance and will get approved only
sometimes.
Also if there is a test for Oracle, there will be around 50 people
sending Query to group for previous papers. I cannot approve each and
every message. So, I apporve only 1 or 2 of them.
So, When replying to such queries, send the papers to group mail id (Jobbss@yahoogroups.com),
instead of their personal mail id. So that everyone will get that
info.
Don't send any enquiries why your mail didn't get approved. You should
NOT do that according to Group Rules.
Note:
Do NOT reply to this mail. Please resend the your
mail to group id (Jobbss@yahoogroups.com) after including all the
required details.

OTHER THINGS
YOU MUST KEEP IN MIND
|
Remember that if some group member (including
myself) is sending a requirement, he is NOT a HR. He is trying to help
you. If you fill his mail box with your resumes, he won't be sending
any requirements next time to the group. Finally, it is going to
affect you only.
Don't send resumes to individual mail IDs, unless he is a HR.
If an employee is forwarding your resume, you should be grateful to
him for doing it, despite of his busy project schedule. Some employees
may not be able to forward your resumes. Don't blame them for that.
They will be having their own problems in the company.
Also just think of this : If a requirement is mentioned and an
employee's mail ID is given, if all of you (50000 members) send
resumes to him, how much time it takes for him to read and reply to
you?
Assume 3 minutes for reading and replying each mail ? How much time it
takes for him to reply to everyone of you? When should he complete his
project work? Remember that you are not the only one sending resume to
him.
So, be very very careful in sending a resume to an employee. And don't
blame him for deleting your resume or for not replying to your mail.
If he is replying you even a single line or sending requirements to
the group, he/she must be very very good and show gratitude to such
people.

I observed lot of people sending resumes to all available mail IDs.
First learn to read the requirement mail
completely and send resume ONLY TO the mail ID mentioned. Also send
resumes ONLY IF you EXACTLY meet the given criteria.
There is no use in sending resumes to every mail ID you come across.
Don't send resume to the one who sent you the requirement. Send it to
the mail ID mentioned in the mail to which resumes need to be sent.

When you are sending resume to an employee in
company, don't bother him with your resumes. First try to enquire
whether there is really any requirement.
And then forward your resume, requesting him to forward to his HR.
Remember that they are helping you by taking their office time. It's
NOT their duty to forward your resume. So, you should be grateful to
them.
Leave the habit of keeping employee mail IDs in CC of mail, when you
are sending resume to any company. If you keep any employee's mail ID
in CC of your mail, it causes a lot of inconvenience to them. They
will anyway DELETE it.

Before sending any Job Info, Please verify by
yourself whether the info is really authentic. Please note that you
will be troubling lot of people by sending unauthentic info.
If some mail ID of an employee is mentioned in requirement, first mail
him asking whether there is really such requirement in their company
and whether he really wants to receive the resumes. Then only, send
that requirement to the entire group.
This is very very important, as you should not trouble any emloyee of
the company for your Job. You will understand their problems once you
get a Job.

NO AUTHENTICITY WILL BE GIVEN FOR ANY
INFORMATION APPEARING IN THIS GROUP. JUST BECAUSE I APPROVE A MAIL, IT
DOESN'T MEAN THAT IT'S AUTHENTIC. YOU HAVE TO VERIFY THE AUTHENTICITY
OF EACH MAIL BY YOURSELF BEFORE SENDING THE MESSAGE. YOU WILL HAVE TO
FACE ANY CONSEQUENCES FOR SENDING UNAUTHENTIC INFORMATION.
If you want, you can have a try at the opportunities sent to Group.
Otherwise, just leave it. As far as possible, I allow only authentic
info. But there can always be some unauthentic information, as most of
the information is obtained through forwards.
