Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Create realistic and stylized animations, including character, object, and environment animations.
- Collaborate with the art and design teams to ensure animations are consistent with the overall visual style.
- Use software like Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, or similar to develop animations.
- Rigging of characters and objects to ensure fluid motion and realistic movements.
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve animation-related technical issues.
- Participate in brainstorming and storyboarding sessions to conceptualize animation sequences.
- Optimize animations for performance without sacrificing visual quality.
- Maintain organized project files and adhere to naming conventions and workflow standards.
- Review and incorporate feedback from directors and team leads to refine animations.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, techniques, and tools in 3D animation.
- Proven experience as a 3D Animator, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Proficiency in 3D animation software such as Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, or similar.
- Solid understanding of animation principles, storytelling, and visual effects.
- Experience with character rigging and skinning is a plus.
- Knowledge of lighting, rendering, and compositing is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to create animations that enhance user experience.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine.
- Familiarity with motion capture data and implementation.
- Basic knowledge of scripting (Python, MEL) to streamline animation processes.
- Understanding of camera work and cinematic animation.
