Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Should be expert in developing low poly models for organic and inorganic objects.
- Should be comfortable with Level of details concepts and corresponding high poly versions of the objects.
- The models need to meet the creative requirements of the Production Designer and/or Art Director and/or client.
- It's important that the model should satisfy the technical needs of the CG department and be efficient, reliable, to scale and to be easy to rig and animate.
- Provide rigging and look dev ready assets that meet the technical requirements of the production pipeline.
- Exporting models into different formats like FBX and 3DS with proper scale as per demand
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience and proficiency in Maya, Z-Brush, 3DS Max, Blender or equivalent.
- 3D software required Background in traditional Sculpting would be a plus Art Background.
- Ability to use a sculpture or reference imagery to build 3D Model as per the established designs and produce an accurate translation of the design reference, staying on model (in style).
- Should possess a quick and integrated coordination skills with texture artists
- 1 to 5 years’ game/production/animation industry experience as a 3D modeller artist
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong traditional art skills are a plus
- Experience working with a distributed team
- Has a portfolio of digital art, animation and/ or at least one output that has been published on any distribution channels or stores, which we can review
- UV mapping skills for the 3D models
- Have good communication and people management skills, in order to train and mentor others
- Be able to work with minimum supervision
- Be able to anticipate the Technical needs of other artists so as to streamline their productivity
- Artistic and relevant technical skills (including concept art, illustration and UI design)
