Job Description Summary:
Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) invites applications for the position of Academic Associate for the Marketing Area from qualified candidates.
The position is suitable for candidates with excellent academic credentials who have a long term interest in teaching and research in “Marketing domain”. Academic Associate are required to provide teaching or/ and research support to the faculty in the Marketing Area depending on the requirements of faculty and the availability of academic associate resources within the Marketing Area. Academic Associate should be willing and interested to assist faculty on all aspects of their academic teaching course work. The benefit for the academic associates would be the incomparable experience of teaching and research at IIMB while working with the accomplished faculty members. This in turn will help them in their future careers. Academic Associate who have in the past worked with the Area have since completed their doctoral program and are engaged in fruitful academic pursuits.
Qualifications: Candidates are required to hold a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) with “Marketing specialization”. Candidates who have completed their Ph.D. in “Marketing area” or in the final stages of completing their Ph.D. in “Marketing area” would be preferred.
Stipend: An all-inclusive monthly emoluments in the range of Rs.30,000 (Rupees Thirty Thousand only) to Rs.36,000 (Rupees Thirty-six Thousand only) per month plus an additional house rent allowance of Rs.8,000 (Rupees Eight Thousand) per month based on educational qualification and experience of the applicant. Annual increment will be based on the performance.
Duration of the Assignment: Initially for a period of one year and extendable up to 03 years based on performance review. If the candidate registers for a Ph. D. programme in another institution within the 3 years a further extension of two years can be given, and additional one year if sufficient progress on the dissertation work is seen.

This position is on contract. Selected candidates should be prepared to take up the assignment immediately. Maximum age limit for being appointed under these Rules will ordinarily not exceed 60 years for Non-teaching staff, subject to discretion from the director.
