AcSIR jobs for Ph.D Programmes in Delhi. Last Date to apply: 28 Oct 2016

Admissions to AcSIR Ph.D Programmes are conducted twice in a year. The Participating CSIR Labs announces the admission criteria and procedure of admission through National Dailies and Web media.

Eligibility Criteria for PhD (Sciences), Direct PhD (Sciences) and Sponsored PhD (Sciences)

PhD (Sciences) : Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology, Medicine or Master's degree in Science with a keen sense of scientific enquiry for pursuing advanced research in frontier areas of Biological, Chemical, Physical and Mathematical & Information Sciences leading to a Ph.D. degree. The candidate should be having a valid National level fellowship (JRF/ SRF of various funding agencies, e.g. CSIR, UGC, DBT, DST etc.), INSPIRE or other equivalent fellowships.

Project Assistants, Senior Research Fellows and CSIR Scientists are also eligible to apply (as per AcSIR Ordinance No. 3.6.2).

Direct PhD (Sciences) : Undergraduate degree in Science or allied subjects with at least 8.5/85% and/or 1st rank holder in University/ Institution. Possible funding sources for students are INSPIRE, CSIR-JRF, CSIR-UGC-NET or other equivalent national fellowships.

Sponsored PhD (Sciences) 

Regular : Master’s degree in Science.

Direct : Undergraduate degree in Science or allied subjects with at least 8.5/ 85% and/or 1strank holder in University/ Institution with endorsement from Industry for required academic leave and financial support during program.

Eligibility Criteria for PhD (Engineering), Direct PhD (Engineering) and Sponsored PhD (Engineering)

PhD (Engineering):

Candidates with a Master's degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy with a good academic record or with a Master's degree in Sciences with a good academic record and with a valid GATE score or UGC/ CSIR-NET/ NBHM or valid CSIR-JRF/ SRF or equivalent fellowship.

Project Assistants, Senior Research Fellows and CSIR Scientists are also eligible to apply (as per AcSIR Ordinance No. 3.6.2).

Direct PhD (Engineering) : Candidates having following qualifications are eligible to apply:

B.E. / B.Tech with CGPA 8.5 / 85% Marks + valid GATE / NET (Engg) (Rank <2000)

B.E. / B.Tech with CGPA 8.5 / 85% Marks +2 years experience as PA/CSIR SRF.

B.E. / B.Tech or M.Sc. with CGPA 8.5 / 85% Marks and/or Ranked first in University + National level fellowship.

Sponsored PhD (Engineering)

Regular : M.Tech (or equivalent) degree in Engeering

Direct : Undergraduate degree in Engineering with CGPA of at least 8.5 / 85% marks and/or 1st Rank holder in University/Institution with endorsement from Industry for required academic leave and financial support during program.
