Actuarial Apprentices recruitment in National Insurance Company Ltd.
Total No. of Vacancies : 07
Qualifications : Minimum Graduate/Post Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University with at least 60% marks either of the degree examination for General Candidates and at least 55% marks for SC/ST candidates and at least 5 Actuarial papers cleared from IAI/IFoA (Institute of Actuaries of India/Institute and Faculty of Actuaries London)
Stipend : 1st Year Rs.25,000/- p.m., 2nd Year Rs.30,000/-p.m.,(Conditions apply) + Free Medical Coverage up to Rs.3,00,000/- per annum on reimbursement basis.
Age : 21-27 yrs
Method of Selection : All eligible candidates will be called for Personal interview and their selection will be based on their performance in the Personal interview. Final selection of candidates will be subject to medical examination. Posting of selected candidates will be at Head Office of National Insurance Co. Ltd., at Kolkata.

National Insurance Company Ltd. (NICL), was incorporated in 1906 with its Registered office in Kolkata. Consequent to passing of the General Insurance Business Nationalisation Act in 1972, 21 Foreign and 11 Indian Companies were amalgamated with it and National became a subsidiary of General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC) which is fully owned by the Government of India. After the notification of the General Insurance Business (Nationalisation) Amendment Act, on 7th August 2002 , National has been de-linked from its holding company GIC and presently operating as a Government of India undertaking.
