PhD Programme conducts Amity University

Admission for PhD programs at Amity University campuses are conducted twice a year, for January and July sessions. A PhD Program is offered in two modes- Full time and Part time and not in a distance learning mode. Hence, coursework, participation in various interactions, submission of progress reports through presentations etc. on regular basis is mandatory during the program. A Full-time PhD scholar shall mean a candidate devoting full time for completing the requirements of the program and a part- time PhD scholar shall mean a candidate who is devoting a part of his time towards the persuit of the program while discharging his official / employment obligations.

PhD full time is for minimum 3 years and PhD part time for minimum 4 ½ years. Maximum duration in case of both the modes is 6 years. Amity encourages interdisciplinary research and exchange of ideas and knowledge in various related fields. Consequently, it allows scholars to appoint a Co-Guide from outside Amity University as per university rules. The main Guide for the scholar during the PhD program will be from Amity University, appointed as per the research topic and Guide availability.

Qualifying candidates will be required to undertake PET (Ph.D. Entrance Test), on the date selected by them. PET will comprise of a computerized Written Test followed by an Interview, all on the same day

Selected candidates will get intimation of their selection through an Online Admission Letter which can be printed from the Admission Micro site. Details regarding payment of fees at the time of admission, date, time and venue for commencement of the academic session will be mentioned in the admission letter
