Job Description

The AVOC team seeks a passionate Content & Communications Specialist to join our Internal Communications(IC) program. The team has grown from scratch to more than a thousand in quick succession and continues to be in a rapid growth phase. Such a massive business and talent expansion makes it imminent to keep our workforce well informed and engaged. With IC program we are resolved to align this need by bringing the unique experience of working at AVOC and Amazon to life through internal communications and large scale internal events.

This role requires exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work backwards from ambiguous requirements to generate clear, concise communications that enable our field organization to work more efficiently and effectively. The right candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure entrepreneurial environment, and has proven experience managing priorities and working effectively across a number of internal stakeholders. This role involves frequent engagement with the business functions and AVOC leadership and requires a candidate with executive presence, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to influence others.

Key Responsibilities Include

Drive AVOC Communications program goals and Support the Learning and Development Team at AVOC in executing its programs and initiatives

Define program plans, manage implementation, and develop processes, documentation and communications for program/process rollout and ongoing management.

Drive and deliver projects across a range of communications mediums, including but not limited to: Learning initiatives, events, newsletters, emailers, blogs, vlogs, interviews, pulse surveys, social media-type content, videos and posters, etc.

Contribute individually as a part of AVOC L&D team, guided and supported by L&D manager, who oversees internal communications(IC) and prove your mettle in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment.

Proactively build and manage internal stakeholder relationships and collaborate with teams across AVOC business, including operations, HR and all other support functions.

Be the face of IC and represent the team in various stakeholder meetings, gather requirements and work towards the development of proactive internal communication campaigns

Execute communication programs and projects

Collaborate with Instructional Design(ID) team to create templates and other collateral

Meet deadlines, prioritize workloads, and maintain a strong attention to detail while creating and socializing artifacts to meet AVOC's business objectives and quality measures.

Write messaging and content for leadership communications that drive awareness on business strategies and performance, promotions and role changes and adoption of programs and initiatives.

Be the employee experience advocate, representing and protecting this through all communication strategies, tools and engagement activities

Broadcast emailers to promote and socialize the IJPs in AVOC, process updates and reiterations of organizational policies and procedures

Liaison with teams in confidentiality, collate the information on R&R, team innovations and accomplishments and other socializing events as inputs to appropriate delivery channels such as newsletter, mailers, flyers etc.

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelorâ€™s degree (Communications, Marketing, or a related field will be plus)

5+ yearsâ€™ experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Experience creating content: digital, written, video, or visual communications materials

Experience implementing communication plans

Preferred Qualifications :

Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to articulate a clear point of view on complicated business matters in clear, concise communications and conversational narratives

Exposure of organizing internal communications campaigns

Some exposure in facilitation will be a plus

High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and Social Media

Working knowledge and passion for creating newsletters, emailer templates, video messages or scripts etc., and acting as a champion of organization culture and policies, employee experience and leadership messages

Demonstrated experience building trust and influencing cross-functional teams, senior leaders and other stakeholders along with project management experience as a plus

A curious self-starter with a proven track record of diving into unknown territory and learning new concepts, think strategically and implement ideas from ideation to development to measurement and evaluation

Relentlessly high standards and excellent attention to detail

Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and deliver results in narrow time-frames and tight deadlines
