- Responsible for all India suppliers’ supply status and issues. (Shipping schedule, 3PL Inventory level maintenance, etc.)
- Check weekly MRP with each supplier to make sure reasonable shipping schedule in place - no shortage and no overage, otherwise advice suppliers to make adjustment accordingly
- Coordinate among forwarders, LII plants and suppliers for urgent shipments, includes but not limits to North America / Mexico inland transportation tracking, OEM large dollar amount and urgent open POs management, sub-supplier crossing country shipment coordination while using LII forwarders, and any special ah-hoc requests by LII buyers
- Daily verify and approve shipments to forwarders with determination of cost effective such as space utilization, part priority, lead time requirement and other details.
- Set up and maintain SOP for LII plants and suppliers, and provide on board training for all new vendors.
- Maintain air/expedited shipments list for logistics analysis and continuous improvement on shipment optimization
- Coordination of raw materials/components stock count, transferring, scrapping, etc.
- Work with Trade Compliance and sourcing teams on regulation compliance and best business practice for new suppliers and when implementing new components or parts
- Support suppliers to communicate with LII financial team to solve payment issues. (Mismatch $, short pay, delayed payment etc.
- Coordinate shipping claims like cargo damage, parts missing or quality issues.
- Setup new origin/destination rate with forwarders, 3PL and VMI for new suppliers, and offer landed cost / freight cost analysis.
- Close monitor and be keen in market insights, especially during peak season and lack of resources, such as transportation LT change, shipping space shortage/FAK, and any emergencies.
- Work with and/or lead cross-functional teams from various working locations on RFQ for freight cost, VAVE projects, MCR, cconsolidation, routes optimization, booking process optimization, package improvement, etc.
- Prepare quarterly/monthly/weekly review reports and present to all levels of people, including US executives team.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred holder in Logistics Management or related discipline.
- Experience: Requires at least 3 years’ working experience and proven working experience in a logistics role in multinational companies
- Key Knowledge: shipment management, freight cost control, VMI/3PL, SOP, landed cost, shipping route management,
- Soft skillset: Good planning, logical thinking, project management, advanced MS Excel, presentation in front of big group of people
- Languages: be fluent in English, MUST be good in speaking, listening and writing in English;
- Mobility: be available to travel, flexible to work at night and good at time managemen.
