Innovative Cancer care and Rehabilitation (ICanCaRe) was founded in 2015 with a team of doctors, engineers, lawyers, & industry professionals who witnessed a crisis of need among cancer patients for their financial, physical and social rehabilitation. A social enterprise was born endeavouring to cater to the needs of cancer survivors. The paramount objective is to deliver promising rehabilitation services to those living with and beyond cancer so that they get the care and support they need to lead as healthy and active life as possible, for as long as possible. We are a group of people who believe in winning over cancer rather than just overcoming or surviving it. Standing on foundation pillars of providing services of prevention, care, cure and rehabilitation, in 2016, as a first step towards achieving our goal icancare.org, a web portal, is designed to provide doctor’s recommended rehabilitation products, medicines, and services for cancer survivors at their doorsteps; icancare.org is an online shopping platform that brings rehabilitation products at affordable prices for cancer patients to their homes.From 2017, our team began to conduct awareness and cancer prevention programs in urban & rural areas in States of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, & Gujarat to spread the knowledge on cancer and its prevention. A campaign “Be Careful Not Fearful” was launched to educate people not to be afraid of the disease and demystified the myths on cancer. More than 1.6 Lakhs people were reached including 25,000 school children, teachers, professionals, labours, and others. We conduct training programs for counsellors, doctors, and professionals in order to sensitize them on menace of tobacco addiction and train them on procedures to counsel a tobacco user for its deaddiction. At the present date we have already trained more than 367 doctors across India.
