Android Developers/Leads_NP - Bangalore, India

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications and related systems to best represent project goals while targeting re-usability and transferability of the technologies created.
Lead and mentor junior engineers or interns while also working as an individual contributor.  Scope work, break down into modules and estimate efforts working closely with management.
Ability to operate in Agile/Scrum development environments
Strong sense of product ownership and self-directed approach. Preferred Skills and Competencies:
Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming and Android design patterns
Strong Java skills. Must be able to work with concepts introduced in Java 8. This also includes the use of predicates, lambdas, etc.
Understanding of Kotlin and how to migrate to it is a plus.
Experience with threaded/asynchronous environments.
Strong understanding of SQLite, any ORM based adaptation on top of it is a plus.
Strong grasp of using MVVM and MVP design paradigms and the ability to communicate the practical applications with team members.
Strong understanding of Databindings/ Live Data.
REST API integrations using Retrofit.
Good insight into RxJava, Services, Work Manager, Databinding, Android Architecture Components, Dependency injections (dagger 2), Glide, Picasso, Eventbus.
Deep understanding of multi-threading, memory management, networking, caching, performance optimization, localization, and security for mobile applications
Deep knowledge of Android development tools and paradigms, including Android Studio, Gradle, user interface layout, fragment usage, intents, services, and general lifecycle management
Experience with modern build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing, test driven development, static analysis, and automated integration tests.
Sound fundamental Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices.
Understanding of Google’s Android Design Principles and interface guidelines.
Experience in designing layouts to support multiple screen sizes and densities.
