LASER Science and technology Centre invites applications for ITI Apprenticeship training for 25 Apprentices as per details below :- 

(1) Machinist / 2 Posts

(2) Fitter/ 2Posts 

(3) Turner / 2Posts

(4) Electrician/ 1Post

(5) Carpenter / 1 Post

(6) Painter (General) / 1 Post 

(7) Welder (General & Electrical)/ 1  Post

(8) Computer Operator (COPA) / 15 Posts

Qualification : (a) Candidate must be registered on NCVT MIS Portal. (b) Candidates registered with any of the Employment offices would be eligible to apply. (c) Those candidates appeared for ITI examination but whose results are not yet out would not be eligible to apply. (d) Candidates who have completed ITI as private candidate would not be eligible for the apprentice training. (e) Only those candidates would be eligible for apprenticeship training who after completing ITI have neither undergone any such training under Apprentice Act, 1961 nor undergoing such training in any institution. 

Stipend:  Candidates finally selected for the apprenticeship training would be eligible fot stipend at the rate of 70% or 80% (as applicable) of the wages payable per month to the semi-skilled workmen as fixed by Delhi Government notification. 

Selection Procedure In the trades having ten or more vacancies, candidates would be shortlisted for interview based on the merit list (Merit List -1) prepared for this purpose by assigning 70% weightage to maim obtained in ITI and 30% weightage to marks obtained in 10+2 (Tenth equivalent). Hence, there would be no written examination. Final merit list (Merit List - 2) would be prepared by assigning 70% weightage to marks in Merit List - 1 and 30% weightage to marks secured in the interview.
