Job Description
Metro Exporters Pvt. Ltd. is an international export, import, and manufacturing firm established in 1964. We are engaged in exports of bicycles and parts, pharmaceuticals and agricultural products, engineering goods, garments, bakery and confectionery, and consulting services across four continents.
Since we are expanding our Marketing and Sales Team, we invite applications for the position of Area Sales Officers for our local cycle division, to be stationed at our head office in Mumbai. The candidate will work closely with the Sales Manager.
The rewarding position entails the following day to day responsibilities:
- Developing the market for our products in Maharashtra and Gujarat.
- Monitoring market conditions, market trends and sales activities.
- Negotiating prices and terms of sales agreements with current and potential customers.
- Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders.
- Quoting prices, credit terms, or other specifications.
- Maintaining records of transactions using automated and manual systems, as required.
- Completing expense reports, sales reports, and other paperwork.
- Selecting, or assisting customers in selecting products based on requirements, product specifications, and applicable regulations.
- Informing customers about estimated delivery schedules, service contracts, warranties, or other product related information, and answering related queries.
- Ensuring that delivery schedules meet project deadlines.
- Ensuring timely collection of overdue bills.
- Collaborating with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies or marketing information.
- Ensuring that monthly and quarterly sales targets are met.
- Working closely with team members and the Sales Manager.
All activities should be carried out in compliance with all rules, regulations and organizational policies of Metro Exporters
Following are some pre-requisites for applying:
*A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline (Commerce graduates preferred),
AND
*Applicants should have a “can-do” attitude for all situations.
*Should have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
*Should be determined, self-motivated and eager to take on new challenges and open to mentoring
*Can ensure compliance and take initiative
*Proficient at doing time bound work
*Have adequate leadership qualities and be a team player
*Fluency in English & Hindi
*Proficiency in MS Office is required.
