Assistant Professor Jobs recruitment in Assam Public Service Commission (Assam PSC) in Nyaya in K.K. Handique Govt. Sanskrit College, Guwahati under Higher Education Deptt.
Qualification: Good Academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade at Master’s Degree level in Sanskrit (specialization in the concerned discipline i.e. Nyaya) with major in degree level. Candidates must possess the latest UGC norms with NET/SLET OR Ph.D or M.Phil Degree obtained on or before 10/07/2009 from a UGC recognized University/Institution.

Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600/- to Rs. 39,100/- with AGP of Rs. 6000/- PM plus other allowances as prescribed by the UGC and the State Govt.

Assam Public Service Commission came into existence on Ist April, 1937 in accordance with the provision of the Govt. of India Act, 1935 with Mr James Hezelett, a retired ICS officer from London, as its first Chairman. Till framing a new regulation in 1951, five more officers mostly retired ICS officer, held the office of the Chairman for different period after Mr James Hezelett.
