1. Asstt. Librarian (unreserved) in the legislative Deptt.

Qualification : (a) Bachelor of Library & Information Science (B Lib & I Sc) or Master of Library and Information Science (M.Lib & I.Sc) from any recognized University. (b)In case of candidates having degree of bachelor Library and information Saence (B.Lib & I.Sc) Certificate or Diploma in Computer shall be essential.
Experience : Experience as a Librarian or Assn. Librarian in any Government or Semi Government office/ Institution is preferable.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 8,000/- to Rs. 35,000/- pm, PB-3 and Grade Pay of R.s 4,300/- PM
Age Limit : 38 Yrs as on 01.01.2016
2. Post Graduate Teachers in Govt. H.S. Schools of Assam in (Assam) School Service (Junior) Class-I Cadre under Education Secondary Deptt. Number of Post: 106 (One hundred and six)
Eligibility : Candidate who qualified who qualified In TET conducted for Post Graduate Teachers are only eligible to apply for the post of Post Graduate Teacher.
Educational Qualification : The Minimum Educational and Professional Qualification shall be required for the post of Post Graduate Teacher as follows (1) MA/M.Sc/M.Com with 50% marks in relevant subject with B.T/B.Ed degree from any recognized University
Scale of Pay : Rs. 8,000/- to Rs. 35,000/- with Grade pay of Rs. 5,100/- P.M.
Age Limit : 21 years to 38 years as on 01.01.2016
Selection Procedure : Written Test/ Interview

Assam Public Service Commission came into existence on Ist April, 1937 in accordance with the provision of the Govt. of India Act, 1935 with Mr James Hezelett, a retired ICS officer from London, as its first Chairman. Till framing a new regulation in 1951, five more officers mostly retired ICS officer, held the office of the Chairman for different period after Mr James Hezelett.
