By Promotion from the Upper Division Clerks (UDCs) in Pay Band-1, Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs.2400 (Level 4 of 7th CPC) from ICAR Institutes/Headquarters having at least 10 years regular service in the grade on the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee.
By Promotion from the Upper Division Clerks (UDCs) in Pay Band-1, Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs.2400 (Level 4 of 7th CPC) from ICAR Institutes/Headquarters having at least 10 years regular service in the grade on the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee.
2.Assistant Finance & Accounts Officer/ 01 UR
By promotion of Junior Accounts Officer in Pay Band-2, Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs.4200 (Level 6 of 7th CPC) with three years of regular service in the grade from other Institutes/Headquarters of the Council on permanent absorption basis.
By promotion of Assistants having rendered 5 years of continuous and regular service in the grade of Pay Band 2, Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs.4200 and have qualified ICAR Audit and Accounts Exam conducted by the ICAR.
By promotion of Assistant having rendered three years of service in the Grade of Pay Band 2, Rs.9300-34800 + Grade pay of Rs.4200 and have qualified ICAR A&A Examination conducted by ICAR or by Junior Accounts Officer in the grade of Pay Band-2, Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs.4200 with two years of regular service and having undergone successfully a two months training programme at National Institute of Financial Management (NIFM), Faridabad and having qualified the examination based on the training, to be conducted by NIFM, Further, such training may be imparted only to those eligible candidates who are willing to be transferred from their present place of posting on an All India basis.
