Assistant Director
Qualification: (i) Degree in Civil / Marine / Mechanical Engineering / Naval Architect from a recognized University or equivalent; (ii) 3 years experience in a supervisory capacity in, investigations, design planning, and constructions Civil Engineering works including repairs and maintenance; OR various branches of Mechanical / Marine Engineering works including experience in repair and maintenance of harbor crafts OR Design, Planning and constructions of vessels in shipyards or Marine Organisation. Desirable : Experience in works connected with Inland Waterways in dredging, river conservancy works, river training marking of fairways.

Salary : Rs. 15,600 – 39,100/ -

Junior Hydrographic Surveyor
No. of Posts : 09 Post ( UR-6, OBC- 2, SC -1)
Qualification : Degree in Civil Engineering Or Diploma in Civil Engineering with 3 years experience in Hydrographic / land survey Or SR I /II of the Indian Navy with 7 years experience in Hydrographic. Desirable : 1. Knowledge of Geographical Information System Software and computer operation. 2. Knowledge of Nautical Cartography.
Salary : Rs. 9300-34800/-
Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years
Electronic Data Processing Assistant
Qualification: i) Degree from a recognized University or equivalent. ii) Training in Computers and computerizations concepts and basic programming or equivalent from a reputed Institute. iii) One year experience in Data Entry/ Operations on Electronic data Processing machine.

The Authority primarily undertakes projects for development and maintenance of IWT infrastructure on national waterways through grant received from Ministry of Shipping. The head office of the Authority is at Noida. The Authority also has its regional offices at Patna, Kolkata, Guwahati and Kochi and sub-offices at Allahabad, Varanasi, Bhaglapur, Farakka and Kollam.
