Job Description

Assistant Director (Pest Surveillance) job recruitment in National Institute of Plant Health Management.

Name/No.of Post : Assistant Director (Pest Surveillance)/1 PwD – (Orthopedically Handicapped)

Qualification : A First Class or High Second Class (5.7 OGPA and above) Master’s Degree in

a. Agriculture / Horticulture with specialization / research area in Plant Pathology/ Entomology / Nematology

                                                                       OR

b. Plant Pathology / Entomology / Nematology

                                                                       OR

c. Botany with specialization in Plant Pathology OR d. Zoology with specialization in Entomology / Nematology

                                                                       OR

e. Agronomy with project work on Weed Science

Experience : Minimum work experience of 4 years (2 years for candidates with Ph.D.) in Plant Protection work.

1)Experience in Research, teaching/training in the respective fields will also be considered.

Desirable : 

1. Advanced Training in Pest Surveillance.

2. Ph.D. in the relevant subject.

Minimum work experience stated above can be relaxed by the Director General in case of highly meritorious candidates if they are otherwise suitable to the post.

Upper Age limit : 45 years

Consequently, the Institute has been registered as an Autonomous Society under the Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India, in the Office of the Registrar of Societies, Rangareddy District, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh on 24th October, 2008 under the name, National Institute of Plant Health Management with Registration No. 1444 of 2008 under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act, 2001 (Act No.35 of 2001).
