1. Assistant Electrical Engineer /15 Posts
Qualification: Full time 4 years Engineering Degree BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc. (Engg.) in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics from a recognized University/ Institute approved by AICTE with minimum % of marks as mentioned below :- UR - 60%, SC/ST – 50%, BC/EBC – 55%
2. Assistant Engineer (Civil)/2 Posts
Qualification: Full time 4 years’ B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Sc. (Engineering) Degree in Civil Engineering/ Construction Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute approved by AICTE with minimum % of marks as mentioned below :- UR - 60%, SC/ST – 50%, BC/EBC – 55%
3. IT Manager /3 Posts
Qualification: MCA from any Govt. recognized Institution/ University Or Full time B.E./ B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engg.) in Computer Science / IT from any Govt. recognized Institution/ University approved by AICTE.
4. Assistant IT Manager /23 Posts
Qualification: MCA from any Govt. recognized Institution/ University Or Full time B.E./ B.Tech. (Computer Science/ IT) from any Govt. recognized Institution/ University approved by AICTE.
5. Assistant Personnel Officer /13 Posts
Qualification: Post Graduate Degree (Labour and Social Welfare) Or MBA (Personnel management / Human Resource) Or Two Years PG Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relation/ Human Resource Management from UGC/ Govt. recognized University/ Institution.

Qualification: Graduate in any discipline from any recognised University.
7. Stenographer /13 Posts
Qualification: (i) Graduate in any discipline from any recognised University and (ii) Possessing a Minimum Shorthand speed of 80 W.P.M. in English. Knowledge of English and Hindi both stenography will be preferred.
Desirable : Certificate in Computer course recognized by AICTE/ DOEACC or Course equivalent to 'O' level in terms of syllabus and duration of course as prescribed by DOEACC.

The
duties of the Company have been defined in Section 18 of the
Electricity Supply Act, 1948. It has been charged with the
responsibility of promoting a co-ordinated development of generation,
supply and distribution of electricity in the State of Bihar on an
efficient and economic basis of management. Though BSPHCL deals
in only one product, i.e., electrical power, its significance and
utility value is enormous for the State. Almost all aspects of modern
life-style are dependent on it in one way or another. In order to ensure
that its responsibilities are discharged effectively and efficiently,
the Company has engaged nearly 1,700 officer and 14,850 staffs on
various posts to generate its own power and to maintain proper
distribution system. It arranges to supply the electricity properly to
the consumers and maintain their equipments.
