Job Description

Principal Tasks & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities 1. Market Analysis & Strategic Planning  Scan and analyze the Indian Pharmaceutical Market (IPM) across therapies, customer segments, and market dynamics.  Identify new therapy segments, growth opportunities, and potential portfolio expansions in alignment with organizational vision.  Recommend strategic approaches for market entry and portfolio enhancement, securing approvals from senior leadership.  Monitor competitor initiatives and market trends to proactively address threats and opportunities. 2. Marketing Mix & Strategy Deployment  Design and implement effective marketing mix strategies for the division and therapy segments.  Develop high-quality project leads through superior marketing strategies and campaigns.  Forecast sales, market share, and performance indicators to guide strategy.  Sustain high-volume brands and successfully launch line extensions for second-line brands.  Implement pricing strategies and product differentiation to optimize profitability and growth.  Manage product portfolios across lifecycle stages (BCG matrix), ensuring resource allocation for maximum ROI.  Design integrated marketing communication plans to engage each customer segment effectively through field force. 3. Field Force Enablement & Execution  Ensure effective implementation of marketing strategies through field force with joint field work (18–20 days per quarter).  Train sales teams and product managers to execute promotional campaigns, brand messages, and marketing initiatives effectively.  Monitor campaign effectiveness and implement corrective actions at critical milestones. 4. Customer & KOL Development  Deploy and oversee KOL strategies, building a portfolio of 20–25 high-priority KOLs.  Engage in customer forums and key decision-making platforms to influence market dynamics.  Maintain regular market intelligence and ensure competitive strategies are addressed proactively. 5. Team Leadership & Development  Lead and mentor a team of therapy heads (GPMs) and Product Managers. JOB DESCRIPTION  Ensure optimal deployment of the team to achieve business, market share, and profitability goals.  Foster a high-performance culture with accountability, collaboration, and professional development. 6. Budget & Operational Controls  Plan and manage marketing budgets with focus on cost efficiency and ROI.  Ensure robust supply chain and inventory management to support marketing and sales initiatives.  Optimize resource allocation across brands, therapy segments, and lifecycle stages. Key Skills & Competencies  Strong strategic and analytical thinking  Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical therapies, brand management, and marketing principles  Expertise in lifecycle management, BCG portfolio strategy, and pricing strategies  Team leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration  Market research, competitor analysis, and KOL management  Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills  Understanding of pharma compliance, ethics, and regulatory environment
