 Key Responsibility & Skills:

 I. PURPOSES OF THE JOB.

 Implement, coordinate and establish quality control, Manufacturing  Engineering and quality system procedures and Techniques to ensure product quality conformity at various clients.

 II.  MAJOR ACTIVITIES, RESPONSIBILITIES / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES.

Quality System

•  Understanding various manufacturing processes at client end & review the quality Engineering issues related to processes.
• Monitoring of the quality trends for the different quality parameters tested / inspected in-process and Quality.
• Establish Quality system procedures/processes in line with TS 16949:2009 & customer specific standard like VDA, other international std..
• Measurement system analysis (MSA) Plan and execution for Lab equipments and instruments.
• PPAP requirements and understanding customer specific requirements and support in preparing these documents.
•  Conducting various audits like Systems, Processes and products.  Analyzing the gap and establish solutions.
•   Deal with Client Engineering & Quality persons, train them on various requirement
•  Knowledge of various quality problem solving techniques like 7QC tools, SPC, DOE, Six sigma and lean mfg.
• Hands on using above techniques and can train other on above techniques.
• Excellent data analysis ability and can easily reach interpret solutions  with data analysis.
• Manufacturing systems /Engineering solutions
•  Excellent ability to understand concerns in manufacturing processes/product and correlate with related processes/activities.
• Design various process studies/trial/experiments to understand the quality/process issues and root causes.
• Applies various problem solving techniques to good in data analysis, identifying root causes and establishing corrective actions.
•  Train and coach people in the team for techniques and data collection, analysis and monitoring etc.
•   Well verged with various commodities and manufacturing processes like Casting, machining, assy, Forging, sheet metal, Plastic, rubber etc
• Good exposure on special processes like painting, coating, heat treatment and other special processes. Can do Statistical analysis with data and use MINITAB effectively.
• Good implementation skills on SPC, FMEA and control plan and PFDs.
•  Conversant with advanced manufacturing techniques like Lean, TPM & System FMEA.
• Good understanding of drill dip process flow, flawless launches, Line side review  techniques for process improvements
• Conduct process capability studies and establish process improvements.
• Reduce in PPM levels through Process built in quality and reduction in reworks.
•  Enhance first time through (FTT) by process and system improvement
• Reduce cost of Quality through various project and improvements
• Kaizen techniques for product/ process improvements
•  Hands on Problem solving and customer complaint resolution.
• Familiar with project management and six sigma techniques
• Worked on change management in processes and products 
• New product developments and establishing product lines.
•   Skill Matrix development and monitoring.
•  Quality Lab/ Equipment handling
•  Preparing & implementing the calibration schedules for the different equipment in the lab
•  CMM programming and Part Inspections.
• Understanding the critical features from Part Engineering drawings and Geometrical parameter measurements like Roundness, Flatness, Cylindricity, run out, co-axiality, parallelism etc.
• Use of measuring equipments like Digital/dial Verniers, micrometers, Roundness tester, etc.

 III.  SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE –

•  Knowledge and skills of Precision part measurements using CMM, roundness tester and profile projector, surface finish testers. CMM programming.
• Good in GD & T and machining knowledge with precision measurements
• Engineering background with clear basic knowledge
•   Knowledge in NDT testing like MPI, UT etc
• Skills sets like SPC, PPAP, FMEA,DOE, ISO 9001, MSA, TS 16949, Quality tools &QC tools etc
•   Good analytical ability & fast grasping.
•   Practical approach with a clear view of the objective 
•  Ability to reason logically,
•  Good communication & presentation skills
•    Good data analysis & interpretation skills
•   Open minded, mainly open to adjust to changing work environment
•  Additional Knowledge of quality management systems, Quality tools, Quality control techniques etc.
•   Six sigma green belt certified.
•   Experience into automotive Industries
• Knowledge/skills in various manufacturing processes welding, painting, coating, forging, casting, plastic, rubber and assy. Processes.
