Job Title: Assistant Professor And Librarian

Education & Qualification:
Assistant Professor:
- A Master's Degree in Science/Humanities/Arts with 50% marks and M.Ed. with at least 55% marks(or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
- OR
- M.A. in Education with 55% marks and B.Ed. with at least 55% marks(or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
- The candidates must have cleared the NET or Similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
- Notwithstanding anytime contained in sub-clauses (1) and (2) & (3) above candidates, who are or have been awarded a Ph.D.Degree in Education in accordance with the Univesity Grands Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree)Regulations 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor.
Librarian:
- A Master's Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science or an equivalent p ' I degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in point in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library.
- The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
- However, candidates, who are or have been awarded a Ph.D.Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D.Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirements of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of College Librarian
Job Profile:
- The Posts are open for all, however, candidates from any category can apply for the post.
- Reservation for women will be as per University Circular No. BCC/16?74/1998 dated 10th March 1998 & disable persons will be as per University Circular No. Special Cell/ICC/2017-18/05 dated 13th June 2017.
- Candidates having knowledge of Marathi will be preferred.
- The pay-scale for the post of Assistant Professor & Librarian are as prescribed by the UGC, Government of Maharashtra & University of Mumbai from time to time.
Profile Description:
- A relaxation of 5%may be provided at the graduate and master's level for the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Differently-abled (Physically and visually differently-abled) categories tor the purpose eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to the teaching position.
- The eligibility marks of 55% marks(or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures.
- A relaxation of 5% may be provided from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. Degree holders.who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19 September 1991.
- Applicants who are already employed must send their application through proper channel.
- Applicants are required to account for breaks if any in their academic career.
- The details of the qualification pay scale & allowance will be supplied on request from applicants.
