Assistant Professor Astronomy recruitment in IIT Indore
Name of Discipline : Astronomy, Astrophysics and Space Engineering /Biosciences and Biomedical Engineering /Civil Engineering /Computer Science and Engineering /Electrical Engineering /Mechanical Engineering /Metallurgy Engineering and Materials Science /Chemistry /Mathematics /Physics
Assistant Professor (Grade I): (i) Ph.D. degree with first class or equivalent in the appropriate branch / relevant areas of specializations and with a very good academic and research record. (ii) At least three years of post-PhD Research/Teaching/Industry experience. Candidates not satisfying the required post-PhD experience criterion for direct recruitment as Assistant Professor (Grade I) may be put on tenure track as Assistant Professor (Grade II).
PAY STRUCTURE: Assistant Professor (Grade I): To be appointed in the minimum Basic Pay of Rs.1,01,500/- in the Pay Level 12 as per 7th CPC. The total emoluments in the minimum Basic Pay will be Rs. 1,25,883/- p.m. On completion of three years of service, as an Assistant Professor (Grade I) shall move to in the Pay Level 13A1 (minimum Basic Pay Rs. 1,31,400/- p.m.) and the total emoluments in the minimum Basic Pay will be Rs. 1, 60,154/- p.m.
Assistant Professor (Grade II): To be appointed in the minimum Basic Pay of Rs. 70,900/- in the Pay Level 10 as per 7th CPC. The total emoluments in the minimum Basic Pay will be Rs. 90,157/- p.m. On completion of one year of service, as an Assistant Professor (Grade II) shall move to in the Pay Level 11 (minimum Basic Pay Rs. 75,300/- p.m.) and the total emoluments in the minimum Basic Pay will be Rs. 95,311/- p.m.
