Qualifications
Assistant Professor : i. Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E and F where grading system is practiced at the Master‟s degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. iii. Holders of Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject shall be exempted from NET/SLET/SET. iv. A relaxation of 5% marks will be provided at the Master’s l e v e l for the SC/ST / Differently abled. v. A relaxation of 5%, from 55% to 50% of the marks will be provided to the Ph.D. degree holders, who have passed their Master’s degree prior
Librarian : (i) A Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science or equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade of ‘B’ in a point scale and a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library. (ii) A pass in UGC NET/SLET/SET in the relevant discipline (OR) Candidates, who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science in accordance with University Grants Commission Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
Scale of Pay : As per UGC Norms
Application Fee : A crossed Demand Draft to the value of Rs.500/- and 250/- for SC/ST candidates (non-refundable) towards the cost of application and registration fees. However, SC/ST applicants should produce an attested copy of the Community Certificate obtained from the competent authority to avail themselves of concession.
