Qualifications :

Except Rural Mangement and Coastal and Harbour Engineering :  (i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master‟s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. (ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. (iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub – clauses (i) and (ii) above, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor. (iv) NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such Master Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

The concerned/allied/relevant disciplines :  

1. Agricultural Engineering :- M.Tech in Agricultural Engineering / Food Technology/Food Engineering/ Ph.D in Agriculture/Food Technology/Food Engineering 

Desirable: 2 years of teaching experience at PG level/Post Doctoral Research experience/ Industry Experience in Agro Processing 

2. Marine Chemistry : M.Sc Marine Chemistry/hydro Chemistry/Chemical Oceanography or its equivalent 

3. MBA Energy Management : M.B.A Energy Management/ M.Tech Energy Management or its equivalent 

4. Human Resources Management: M.B.A Human Resources Management / MHRM or its equivalent. 

5. Fish Pathology : M.F.Sc. Mariculture/ Aquaculture/ Fisheries Microbiology or M.Sc Mariculture/ Aquaculture/ Sustainable Aquaculture/ Marine Biology/Aquaculture and Fisheries Microbiology/Industrial Fisheries/ Fisheries and Aquaculture/Applied Fisheries and Aquaculture. 

6. Fishing Technology:- M.F.Sc (Fisheries Engineering and Technology)or its equivalent

Rural Management : (i) a. First Class Master‟s Degree in Business Management/Administration with specialization in Rural Management or MSW Degree with at least 55 % marks (or an equivalent grade in point scale wherever grading systems is followed) at the Master‟s Degree level. (ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. Desirable (i) Teaching, research, industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization; (ii) Paper presented at Conference and / or published in refereed journals

Coastal and Harbour Engineering : (i) First Class Master‟s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering (Engg.)& Technology (Tech). (ii) Without Prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable: 1. Teaching, research industrial and/or professional experience in a reputed organization; 2. Papers presented at Conference and /or in refereed journals.

The appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology of Coastal and Harbour Engineering : ME/ M Tech in Marine Engineering/ Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture/ Structural Engineering/ Coastal and Harbour Engineering/ Dredging and Harvest Engineering/ Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering/Ocean & Coastal Safety Engineering.

Remuneration :  

Post Graduation with Ph.D -Rs.35,000/-

Post Graduation with M.Phil/NET -Rs.30,000/-

Age Limit : 40 years as on 01.01.2018. (Eligible for age relaxation as per KPSC Rules)
