Assistant Professor Community Medicine/Senior Resident/Junior Resident Job position in Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) located at Gulbarga, Karnataka on contract basis

Qualification : Essential for Medical Candidates (i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council, Act, 1956. ( Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in section 13 (3) of the said Act); and (ii) A post graduate qualification e.g. MD (doctor of medicine)/ MS (Master of surgery) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline. Essential for Non-Medical Candidates (i) A Postgraduate qualification i.e. Master's Degree in the concerned subject or allied discipline ; and (ii) A Doctorate degree of a recognized University in the respective subject or allied discipline. Note: The respective subject or allied discipline should be as in the Table - I of Schedule I of the, Medical Council of India “Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998”.
Experience : (a) For the candidates possessing doctor of Medicine(MD) / Master of Surgery (MS) from Medical Council of India recognized medical colleges: Three years teaching experience in the subject as Resident or Registrar or Demonstrator or Tutor in a recognized medical college either during the post-graduate course or after obtaining postgraduate degree in the subject. 3 years Junior Resident in a recognized medical college in the concerned subject and one year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognized medical college. (b) For the candidates possessing Diplomat of National Board qualification(DNB) from Medical Council of India recognized medical colleges or central institutes where the no doctor of medicine(MD) / master of surgery (MS) course running: (i) Three years teaching experience in the subject in a recognized medical college either during the Diplomat of National Board (DNB) course or after possessing Diplomat of National Board (DNB) qualification. (ii) The concerned candidate would also require one year of additional teaching or research experience in the concerned subject in a recognized medical college after obtaining Diplomat of National Board (DNB) qualification. (c) For candidates possessing Diplomat of National Board (DNB) qualification from Medical Council of India (MCI) recognized medical colleges or central institutes where there are doctor of medicine(MD)/Master of surgery(MS) course running: Three years teaching experience in the subject in a recognized medical college either during the Diplomat of National Board (DNB) course or after obtaining Diploma from national Board qualification. (d) for the candidates possessing diplomat of National Board(DNB) qualification from centers other than of Medical Council of India(MCI) recognized medical colleges or central institutes: (i) Three years teaching experience in the subject either during the Diplomat of National Board course or after possessing Diplomat of National Board qualification. (ii)The concerned candidate would require two years additional teaching experience as Senior resident or Research Associate(Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) in a Medical Council of India recognized medical college or central institute.
(e) Research Experience: (i) For the candidates obtaining Diplomat of National Board (DNB) qualification from centers other than Medical Council of India recognized medical colleges or central institutes, the concerned candidate should have minimum two publications (accepted or published) in the index journal (National or International as first or second author). (ii) In case the concerned candidate does not have the required publication, he must have a total of three years teaching experience in a recognized college or central institute after possessing Diplomat of National Board (DNB) qualification.
Note : The qualifications regarding experience in respect of the Scheduled Castes and
the Scheduled Tribes candidate are relaxable based on the guidelines issued by the
Government of India from time to time.

Junior Resident & Tutor

Qualification :
For Junior Resident : M.B.B.S from recognized university,should have registered with Medical Council of India. Those who have done 6 months junior residency need not apply.
Tutors : M.B.B.S from recognized university,should have registered with Medical Council of India. Those who have done 6 months junior residency need not apply
Pay Scale :
Assistant Professor - PB-3 + GP 6600/- + NPA
Senior Residents - PB-3 + GP 6600/- + NPA
Junior Residents - PB-3 + GP 5400/- + NPA
Tutors - PB-3 + GP 5400/- + NPA
Age :
For Assistant Professor : Not exceeding 69 years as on date of walk in interview for all posts.
For Senior Residents: The age shall not exceed 33 in case of Post Graduates and 35 years in case of post doctoral degree holders as on date of walk-in-interview i.e 22-12-2017
For Junior Residents & Tutors: The age shall not exceed 30 years of age as on 22/12/2017 and internship completion on or before 22/12/2017 (age relaxation applicable as per Govt. of India Rules)

Senior Resident, Junior residents & Tutors: NIL
Mode of payment: A Demand Draft of Rs. 225/- in favour of ‘ESI Fund Account No. I’, drawn after 13.12.2017 on any scheduled bank payable at ‘Gulbarga’ has to be submitted along with the Application Form at the time of the Walk-in-Interview.
Selection Procedure: i. The selection will be made on the basis of performance of the candidate in interview before the Selection Board.
