General Qualifications For The Assistant Professors : i. Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. iii. Candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.

Required Qualifications (A) Assistant Professor: Arts, Humanities, Sciences, Social Sciences, Commerce & Business Management, Languages, Law: i. Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. iii. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Master’s Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted. iv. And above mentioned General Qualifications of Assistant Professors.

B) Rural Development: Assistant Professor :
i) P.G. Qualification, M.A. Rural Development besides NET/Ph.D. in Rural Development as per UGC rules in vogue. ii) And above mentioned General Qualifications for Assistant Professor

C) Pharmacy: Assistant Professor :
i. Essential: 1. A basic degree in pharmacy (B.Pharm.). 2. Registration as a pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948, as amended from time to time, including any succeeding enactments. 3. First Class Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy. ii. Desirable: 1. Teaching, research industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization; and 2. Papers presented at Conferences and / or in refereed journals. iii. Subject to any other rules/regulations applicable.

D) USIC & E & IT: Assistant Professor : i) M.Sc. Electronics & Instrumentation and Ph.D. in the field of Instrumentation. OR M.Tech in Electronics & Instrumentation, preferable Ph.D. in the same field ii) The experience of at least 2 years industrial experience is desirable. iii) And above mentioned General Qualifications for Assistant Professor

E) Engineering Group: Assistant Professor 1) Architecture i. Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture with minimum 60% marks and three years of relevant professional experience. OR Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and Master’s Degree in Architecture with minimum 60% marks at either level and one year of relevant professional experience. ii. The basic eligibility criteria are that the candidate seeking for recruitment in an educational institution must be registered with Council of Architecture under section 25 of the Architects Act 1972. iii. Subject to any other rules/regulations applicable.

2) Civil, CSE, EEE, ECE & Mech. :
i. Essential First Class Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering (Engg.) & Technology (Tech). ii. Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable 1. Teaching, research industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization; 2. Papers presented at Conferences and / or in refereed journals. iii. Subject to any other rules/regulations applicable.

F) Research Center: Centre For Scientific Socialism: Assistant Professor i) Masters Degree in Economics/Political Science/Public Administration/Sociology/Psychology with Ph.D. in the respective disciplines. ii) And above mentioned General Qualifications for Assistant Professor
