Qualifications : A
(i) An eminent scholar with Ph.D. Qualification(s) in Banking& Insurance /
Economics/ Business Finance and or concerned/allied/relevant discipline and
also published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence
of Published Work with a Minimum of 10 Publications as Books and/or Research/Policy
Papers in area of ‘Banking & Insurance’ and or concerned/allied/relevant
discipline. (ii) A Minimum of 10 years of Teaching Experience in
University/College, and/or Experience in Research at the University/National
level Institutions/Industries, including Experience of Guiding Candidates for
Research at Doctoral Level. (iii) Contribution to Educational Innovation,
Design of New Curricula and Courses, and Technology- Mediated Teaching Learning
Process. (iv) A Minimum Score as stipulated in the Academic Performance
Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in
this Regulation in Appendix Ill. OR B. An outstanding professional, with
established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant
contributions to the knowledge in the Concerned/allied/relevant discipline, to
be substantiated by credentials. Candidate should preferably a full time
Professor or at least an Associate Professor who has published works of high
quality especially in area of ‘Banking & Insurance’ and or
concerned/allied/relevant discipline, actively engaged in research and training
as well as having 10 years’ experience of teaching and/or research, including
experience of guiding research in a leading academic institute or holding an
equivalent position in a non-academic organization in the age below 62 years
shall be eligible to apply. Chair Professor is expected to undertake research
in the relevant field and publish papers in international/national refereed
journals based on his/her research. Selected Candidate shall be also required
to teach in academic programs being offered by the Faculty of Commerce. Chair
Professorship is to be initially awarded for three years, subject to further
extension as per RBI and University rules and subject to satisfactory
performance. Candidate on deputation shall also be considered for the tenure
appointment.
Salary : Pay band
Rs.37400-67000 AGP 10,000/- (The case for salary protection shall be considered
subject to approval from RBI)

Eligibility : A. i) A
Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale
wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject
from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign
university. ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must
have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the
CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have
been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission
(Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree) Regulations,
2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted
from NET/SLET/SET : Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme
prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then
existing Ordinances/Byelaw/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree
and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of
NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or
equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the
fulfilment of the following conditions: - a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate
has been awarded in a regular mode; b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by
at least two external examiners; c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate
has been conducted; d) The candidate has published two research papers from
his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal; e) The
candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in
conference/seminars sponsored /funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any
similar agency. The fulfilment of these conditions is to be certified by the
Registrar or the Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University concerned. OR B. The
Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a
ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one
of the following: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) the Times Higher Education
(THE) or (iii) the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the
Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai). Note: The Academic score as specified
in Appendix II (Table 3A) for Universities, and Appendix II (Table 3B) for
Colleges, shall be considered for short-listing of the candidates for interview
only, and the selections shall be based only on the performance in the interview
(Copy attached).
Application Fee : The online application form fee is fixed as of
Rs. 500/- (Rs. 125 for SC/ST Candidates) that shall require to be paid online
only. This amount shall not be accepted in cash, money order, demand draft and
postal order or through any other financial instrument except online payment.
The aforesaid application fee is nonrefundable and no enquiries will be
entertained in this regard by the University.
