Assistant Professor Job vacancies in Periyar University
Department : Food
Science and Nutrition
Eligibility : (i) Master’s Degree in Food Science and Nutrition/Food Science and Technology/Food and Nutrition with 50% marks or equivalent grade of B in the seven point scale. (ii) A pass in UGC NET/SLET/SET in the relevant discipline. (OR) Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in Food Science and Nutrition/Food Science and Technology/Food and Nutrition in accordance with University Grants Commission Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
Department : Textiles and Apparel Design
Eligibility : (i) Master’s Degree in Textiles and Apparel Design/Textiles and Clothing/Costume Design and Fashion/Textiles and Fashion Designing/Textile Science and Fashion Designing with 50% marks or equivalent grade of B in the seven point scale. (ii) A pass in UGC NET/SLET/SET in the relevant discipline. (OR) Candidates, who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in Textiles and Apparel Design/Textiles and Clothing/Costume Design and Fashion/Textiles and Fashion Designing/Textile Science and Fashion Designing in accordance with University Grants Commission Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
Department : History
Eligibility : (i) Master’s Degree in History with 55% marks or equivalent grade in the seven point scale. (ii) A pass in CSIR-UGC NET/SLET/SET in the relevant discipline. (OR) Candidates, who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in History in accordance with University Grants Commission Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from NET/SLET/SET.

Eligibility : (i) Master’s Degree in Food Science and Nutrition/Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics/Food Service Management and Dietetics/Food and Nutrition/Nutrition and Dietetics with 50% marks or equivalent grade of B in the seven point scale. (ii) A pass in UGC NET/SLET/SET in the relevant discipline. (OR) Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in Food Science and Nutrition/Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics/Food Service Management and Dietetics/Food and Nutrition/Nutrition and Dietetics in accordance with University Grants Commission Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
(Most Backward Classes/ Denotified Communities-1) and (Backward Classes-1)

Scale of Pay : As per UGC Norms
Application Fee : A crossed Demand Draft to the value of Rs.500/- and 250/- for SC/ST candidates (non-refundable) towards the cost of application and registration fees. However, SC/ST applicants should produce an attested copy of the Community Certificate obtained from the competent authority to avail themselves of concession. To obtain application by post, candidates should also send a self-addressed stamped envelope (25x12 cm) to the value of Rs.40/- along with the Demand Draft
