Qualification in Details:

For appointment as Assistant Professor on contract basis in the following departments upto 31.05.2021:

3. The candidates will be shortlisted category-wise according to their score obtained by them as per criteria prescribed by the UGC in the ratio as under:-

i. One post : 10 candidates

ii. Two posts : 13 candidates

iii. Three posts : 16 candidates

4. The Assistant Professor to be appointed would be paid salary from the contingency of the University/Department, ranging from Rs.30,000/- to 35,000/- per month depending upon their qualifications, experience and suitability. The number of posts may vary.

5. Qualifications For The Post Of Assistant Professor For The Subjects Of Applied Psychology, Economics, Environmental Science & Engineering, Hindi, Mathematics, Physics And Statistics:

i) A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SELT/SET: Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Byelaws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SELT/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/ institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:-

a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode;

b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;

c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;

d) The Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal;

e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/sported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency. The fulfillment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar or the Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University concerned.

iv) Note: NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/ SET.

A relaxation of 5% shall be provided, (from 55% to 50% of the marks) to the Ph.D. Degree holders who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19 September, 1991. v) A relevant grade which is regarded as equivalent of 55%, wherever the grading system is followed by a recognized university, at the Master’s level shall also be considered valid.

6. The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of thefollowing: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) the Times Higher Education (THE) or (iii) the Academic Ranking of World University (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).

7. Note: The Academic score as specified in Table-A shall be considered for short-listing of the candidates for interview only, and the selections shall be based only on the performance in the interview.

8. Qualifications For The Post Of Assistant Professor For The Subject Of Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Science & Engineering:-

(i) B.E./ B.Tech./ B.S./ and M.E./ M.Tech./ M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. in relevant branch with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.

(ii) If a class/ division is not awarded, minimum of 60% marks in aggregate shall be considered equivalent to first class/ division.

(iii) The qualification of Ph.D. acquired for the various level of posts directly after B.E./ B.Tech. is applicable in Technical Institutions, provided degree of Ph.D. awarded is in relevant discipline by a recognised University following the process of registration, course work and evaluation etc. as prescribed by UGC or has been awarded by the Institutes of national importance (i.e. IITs/ IISc/ NITs etc.) duly recognised by the MHRD. Further, candidate should have obtained atleast first class at Bachelor’s level in Engineering/ Technology.

9. Note: The Academic score as specified in Table-B shall be considered for short-listing of the candidates for interview only, and the selections shall be based only on the performance in the interview.

10. Qualifications For The Post Of Assistant Professor In Pharmaceutical Sciences:

(i) First class B.Pharm. with Master’s Degree in Pharmacy(M.Pharm.) in appropriate Branch of specialisation in Pharmacy (qualification must be PCI recognized).

(ii) Two years of teaching experience in PCI approved/ recognized Pharmacy College.

(iii) The candidate should be registered in the register of pharmacists maintained by a State Pharmacy Council.

(iv) A PCI recognized Pharm.D degree holder shall also be eligible for the posts of Assistant Professor in the subjects of pathophysiology, pharmacology and pharmacy practice

(v) If a class or division is not awarded at Master level, a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent cumulative grade point average shall be considered equivalent to first class or division, as the case may be.

11. Qualifications For The Post Of Assistant Professor In Haryana School Of Business:

(i) Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and Masters Degree in Business Administration/ PGDM/ CA/ ICWA/ M.Com. with First Class or equivalent and two years of professional experience after acquiring the degree of Master’s degree.

(ii) If a class/ division is not awarded, minimum of 60% marks in aggregate shall be considered equivalent to first class/ division.
